Our class went for two walks in our suburb and took some photos of our Environment. We are using the photos to make postcards with Microsoft Publisher. Three teachers came with us. First we took a photo of the Mosque. Next we walked to the corner of the oval. Owen, Anthony, Wally and Taz took the photo of P Park. On our way back to school our teacher asked “Who is doing H Reserve?” Jennz, Susan and Jenny took photos of it. While they were doing that we played stuck-in-the-mud. Two boys and one girl were in. Lastly we went back to school. Two days later we went for another walk again with Ms K, A and C. We walked through the underpass to get to our shopping centre. First we took a photo of St A’s Church. Hope, Cecilia, Nicole and I took the photo of St A’s church. During our walk I saw lots of people. I even saw my aunty and my uncle so I said “Hello” and they said “Hello” back as we past them, then I said “goodbye”. Next Sara and Sabrina took a photo of the J Restaurant. Sara took the photo inside of the Restaurant and Sabrina took the photo outside of it. After that we walked to the Anzac Memorial Nezzy, Nancy and Mattie each took the photo of the Anzac Memorial. While they were taking a photo of it we were playing games and stuff. Hope,Sheri, Zobby and I were hiding from Kyle. When Kyle got me, I was in. Then we went to the Library Nadine and Vicky each took a photo of the Library. Finally, we went back to school. Everyone was tired. I had a great time. Look at my Postcard below. At the end of May 3GK went to the art show. I saw all the children’s art work.
I sketched houses and I voted for my favourite. I saw my cousin’s drawing.

We drew a street. We shaded with our finger. We drew the houses lightly. Then we made them darker. We drew the street smaller and smaller that means perspective.
And we sketched the street . My teacher put the paper on the display.
We wanted to find out which brand of batteries last longest.
by Sabrina
Photographs by Sheri.
What we used:
We used three different brand of batteries: Eveready, Coles and Varta.
And we used torches that were the same.
by Susan
Hypothesis:
Most of us predicted that the eveready battery would last the longest because of the ads on TV. Kyle predicted that the Varta battery would last longest.
Method:
We switched on all the torches at the same time. We recorded what time we turned on the torches.
by Emeline
Results:
The Coles battery ran out first.
by Cecilia.
Eveready lasted next. Eveready lasted only for 13 hours.
By:Jen.
The Varta battery lasted longest.
by Vicky
Graph by Jenny.
Coles lasted for 3 hours.
The Eveready battery lasted for 13 hours
and the Varta ran out after 16 hours.
by Wally
How much does it cost to run each battery per hour?
The results are that the Coles battery was the cheapest battery but costs more money than the other batteries per hour. Per hour Coles cost, 62 cents.
by Jenny
The Varta battery lasted longest but it costs the same amount as the Eveready battery per hour. They both cost 15 cents per hour.
We sat under our house banners then after a little while it was free time. At free time you can do anthing you want to.
After free time we watched the 50m race.
Later on we played a bottle top game. You have to get as many bottle tops as you can from the water. Then it was recess.
Next we played frisbee. You have to collect all the frisbees from the water and the team with the most wins. Lots of people got ribbons.
Then it was lunch. We ate food and played.
After lunch we got points for our team. Then we had free time again. The water was very cold. After a little while we had to go back to school but before going to school we got points again.
On 20th of March we had Harmony day. Me and my friends went to play a game called tips. We had some yummy food. I felt happy. On Haromony Day people have to wear orange. Harmony Day is all about RESPECT. Then my whole class went to see the Performances. We saw people drumming.
